Insurance & Payment Options

We believe financial uncertainty shouldn't stand between your child and the support they need. Here's exactly how payment works.

Insurance

Blue Cross Blue Shield

(In-Network)

Speak Easy Speech is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, which means your BCBS plan can be billed directly for covered speech therapy services.

Coverage varies by plan. Some plans require a physician referral or prior authorization before therapy begins. We recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking:

  • "Do I have outpatient speech therapy benefits for my child?"

  • "Is prior authorization required?"

  • "What is my copay or deductible for a specialist?"

Have questions about whether your specific BCBS plan will cover services? Contact us before your first appointment and we'll help you figure it out together.

Don't have BCBS? We currently accept BCBS and private pay. If you have a different insurance provider, reach out — we're happy to discuss your options, including providing a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Arizona School Choice

Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)

We proudly accept Arizona ESA funding for speech therapy services. The Empowerment Scholarship Account program provides eligible Arizona families with state funds that can be used for a range of educational and therapeutic services — including speech therapy.

Here's how the ESA process works with our practice:

1. Schedule & receive services

Your child receives speech therapy as normal — in-home or via telehealth.

2. We provide an itemized invoice

After each session or billing period, we provide you with a detailed invoice that meets ESA documentation requirements.

3. Upload to your ESA account

You upload the invoice to your ESA portal for reimbursement — or in some cases, payment is arranged in advance through your ESA funds.

New to ESA? That's okay — many families are when they first reach out. We're happy to walk you through how it works for our services before you book. Just give us a call or send a message.

Self-Pay

Private Pay

Private pay is always an option for families who prefer to pay directly, have a different insurance plan, or want to begin services quickly without waiting on insurance authorization.

For current session rates, please contact us directly — we're happy to walk you through pricing for evaluations, individual sessions, and telehealth appointments.

If you have insurance other than BCBS, we can provide a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many families find they are reimbursed a meaningful portion of the cost this way.
