Expressive Language
Scottsdale / Phoenix / Virtual
Service Description
expressive language refers to a person’s ability to use words, sentences, gestures, and writing to communicate their thoughts, needs, and ideas. It focuses on the output of language—how someone expresses themselves to others. Individuals with expressive language delays or disorders may have difficulty using the correct words, forming complete or grammatically accurate sentences, telling stories, asking questions, or naming and describing objects. Expressive language therapy helps improve these skills so the person can communicate more effectively and confidently.
